A TMNT Birthday

Last night we celebrated my brother's 27th birthday - which is today.

I cooked his favorite meal - tacos.  And we had strawberry shortcake for dessert.

Since Seth LOVED Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles as a kid (and still does) we made it a TMNT party.

At the last minute we got the idea to all wear TMNT shirts.  Andrew doesn't own one so I ran to Wal-Mart to buy him one.  Our tiny little Wal-Mart didn't have any.  In fact there wasn't one to be found anywhere in our little town so I bought a plain blue shirt and figured I would make something up.  When I got home I remembered I had iron on letters from a previous project.  My first attempt was to make his shirt say TMNT, but I messed up one of the T's and didn't have any extras.  Since it was a blue shirt I had the brillant idea to make it say Leonardo - the blue turtle.  And with that Andrew had a favorite ninja turtle.

After dinner we went outside for a little pinanta fun.  I think you can tell from the laughter in the video how much we enjoyed this.

Then it was back inside to open presents.

And of course we ended the night with a few games of bocce balls.

It was such a fun night.  I hope the birthday boy enjoyed it as much as I did.
