Wake up sleepy head. We have another big day planned.
But first we must make yet another trip to Wal-Mart.
We bought a grill when we stocked up on groceries that first day.
Half way through assembly we realized we bought a charcoal grill when we wanted a gas grill.
Charcoal grill was returned but the gas grill wasn't in stock.
So on this day it was yet another trip to Wal-Mart (we had been every day of vacation) to procure the desired gas grill.
Now that that was out of the way the fun could begin.
For most of our trip the temperatures were nice and cool.
Andrew loved it.
I tried not to freeze while demanding that our next trip be some place warm and maybe tropical.
But on the day we visited the Henry Ford Museum I dare say it was HOT.
We got to the museum right around lunch time so once we were parked we made lunch in the RV. I loved this about RV life. You can eat anywhere.
We started with the museum since it was indoors and air conditioned.
The place is huge!
It was one of those places where the teacher in me starts geeking out. I kept thinking what a cool place it would be for a field trip.
The presidential cars immediately caught our attention. So much history in the progression of these cars.
When the volunteer asks if you want to sit in a car, the answer is always YES!
Even if it means your husband is going to act like you are his personal driver.
There were so many cool cars there.
Are you ready to see the coolest one?
This is the very first Mustang ever made.
You can disagree with me about it being the coolest car there, but I really don't see any point in admitting that you are wrong.
Andrew managed to pry me away from this beauty to look at some other pretty cool cars as well as other modes of transportation.
It wouldn't be vacation without some sort of lesson from Professor Weaver.
Blurry pictures because I got caught with my phone during the lesson. :)
We also have to have some sort of competition on vacation. One of these days I'll win one.
When we finished looking around inside we left the nice cool AC for Greenfield Village.
It's this little Henry Ford village. Apparently this guy collected buildings. It was crazy!
There were lots of different activities going on for Memorial Day.
There was some horse riding band members playing and some cannon firing.
We took some time in the shade to enjoy all the festivities.
We tried to have another round of vacation ice cream cones but YALL! That line was crazy long. Two or three blocks long.
So back into the AC we went where we found ourselves some yummy dessert.
A little happier now that I had enjoyed a delicious malt, it was time to start heading to camp.
But you know we had to stop along the way and dip our toes in a great lake.
Today it was Lake Eerie.
The lake was super HIGH.
It was cold and not as pretty as the others.
Onward to camp.
One good thing about RV camping verses tent camping is the amount of time it takes to set up camp.
Park the RV, hook up, and you are good to go.
You can get that fire started.
Our first fire of the trip.
And not long after I settled in my chair to enjoy it while Andrew grilled dinner the rain came.
The rain may have driven me inside but you better believe after all the grill drama a little rain wasn't going to stop the grill master.
All in all it was another good day.
