2009 has been a wonderful year for Andrew and I. It has been full of ups and down like any other year, but we came out better and stronger people.
In 2009, we:
* Finished some home improvement projects
*Celebrated 5 years of marriage
*Colored Easter eggs together for the first time.
*Celebrated as Drew turned 28.
*Enjoyed our first vacation together with just the two of us as we visited our Nation's capitol.
*Celebrated as I turned 26.
*Went to a concert or two.
*Celebrated the wedding of Shawna and Ben.
*Spent time with our families.
*Welcomed two new beautiful nieces into our family.
We stepped out in faith and joined a new church. This led us to standing up for what we believe and walking out of a church.
Watched dreams come true for our family members.
Watched God answer prayers.
Made new friends and spent time with old friends.
Made some decorative changes throughout our home.
Spent lots of cuddling time with Liberty and Liam.
So much more happened in 2009 for Andrew and I. Like I said, it was a wonderful year. For all you who have followed along beside us through this past year, we thank you.
Now we begin to look forward to 2010. We know that it will be even better no matter what happens. We plan to grab on tight to God's hand and allow him to lead us through each day all the way through the year.
I know that during this time people begin to make resolutions. I don't know about you, but I make them every year. And I break them every year.
I am not making them this year. I've decided to just work on my 101 in 1001. They are realistic goals with plenty of time to complete them. Hopefully 2010 will allow me to make a good dent in my list. You can check out my list here. If it doesn't, oh well... I have more time.
Now if you've made it this far through this post you definitely need an award. So here is my first giveaway of 2010.
In hopes of helping you start the year off right, I'm giving you the opportunity to win....
A Francesca Battistelli cd... which you know I love!!!
And... Miracles by Karen Kingsbury. This is a book of 52 devotionals. I haven't read this book, but I'm a huge fan of Karen Kingsbury. I've never read one of her books that I didn't find wonderful. God has truly gifted her. To be honest, I'm a little jealous that I'm giving this away. :)
To enter... Just leave me a comment telling me something about your 2009 and your hopes for 2010.
For an extra entry, post about this giveaway on your blog.
For another extra entry, create your own 101 in 1001. Leave me a comment letting me know if you have made a list.
This giveaway will close January 3. I will draw first thing in the morning on January 4.

Looks like you had a great year! I have loved reading your posts in 2009 and look forward to more in 2010!
ReplyDelete2009 was a year of exploring myself. For the first time, I was not in school in the evenings after working all day and I actually had time to myself. It has been a great year! 2010 is going to be more of that, as Josh will finish his MBA in May. I am looking forward to (hopefully) some major changes in 2010 - new jobs, new city, on and on... Keeping my fingers crossed that God shows us where we should be in 2010.
2009 was full of firsts with Conner. I love celebrating each new discovery with him. For 2010 I hope to learn to live life to the fullest and enjoy myself more with my family and worry less. Happy New Year to you! May the new year bring fun and new opportunities for you!
ReplyDeleteThis past year i welcomed my 3rd healthy lil boy. and got an old friendship i thought was gone forever back. in 2010 i hope to find a lil rest lol as if thats gonna happen with my house full of crazy lil boys. btw i did a 101 in 1001 when you 1st posted urs
ReplyDeleteThis is a great giveaway! I love Karen Kingsbury.
ReplyDeleteMy 2009 was nothing special to tell you the truth! HA! I just have felt so blessed to have had a safe year and for the most part a healthy one. We did celebrate our 4 year anniversary! WOW!
2009 has been a crazy one! I finally published my first novel. Awesome! Craig and I joined Fellowship Bible Church in Searcy. We celebrated 6 years for marriage. Craig lost his job and thankfully found another one. My cousin, Jonathan, and his wife, Tynna, are going to have a baby! I turned 27...yikes. In 2010, Craig and I hope to try and start a family. Craig is going to start college and I'm going to be doing a ton of marketing for my novel. My prayer for 2010 is that we all stay healthy and happy. I pray for God to continue to bless us.
ReplyDelete2009 was an interesting year. To say the least I learned many things. I learned how to be a mommy. My Cooper changed from a baby to a little boy right before my eyes. I also struggled with my job so much that I no longer wanted to be a teacher. Then came the month of May. May was probably the month for the most change for me. I took a job at Harmony Grove, found out I was pregnant and finished my worst year of teaching so far. Now, I love my job, and I’m excited about my second son. In 2010 I look forward to my little bundle of joy, Cooper to start talking, and growing as a family. I look forward to joining a church as a family, following God. Most of all I look forward to not being pregnant.
ReplyDeleteMy 2009 was full of JOY and I will be spending 2010 making a DIFFERENCE. Come on over to my blog in a bit to see what I mean. :)
